Dr. Giovanni Giuliano

He graduated at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa and did postdoctoral studies at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and the University of Pennsylvania. He is presently Research Director at ENEA (the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Development).

He received the 2016 award in Biological Sciences and their applications by the Italian Academy of Sciences, and chaired the 2018 Gordon Conference on Carotenoids.

His main research interests are plant photomorphogenesis, carotenoid biosynthesis and metabolic engineering, genomics and metabolomics. He has co-authored >120 papers.
